Who We Are

Fredericktown is located in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains, surrounded on three sides by the Mark Twain National Forest. Our community was settled in 1819 by French settlers. We are the County Seat of Madison County and the home of the historic Madison County Courthouse, built in 1900 and designed by architect,Theodore Link. What's New

Natural gas turbines being installed in industrial park!
Keep track of the progress we are making with the new gas turbines! The City of Fredericktown has ordered two 15-megawatt natural gas-driven turbines which are now being installed in our industrial park. These turbines are owned by the Missouri Joint Utility Commission. Check the web cam!

New Playground!
If you have not checked out the new playground in Azalea Park you need to check it out. This was made possible by Fitness for all Children (Project Happy Feet).

Recycle Fredericktown!
Did you know that the city of Fredericktown has an extensive recycling program? Residents can drop off or have recyclables picked up for their convenience a variety of recyclables ranging from plastic to aluminum to steel to paper. Check out our new recycling page for all the details!

Spring Cleanup!
The annual Spring cleanup for City Residential Customers only is scheduled for Monday, March 26th through Saturday, March 31st. Spring cleanup will be a drop off service, although a pickup service will be available by registering at City Hall for a $10.00 fee prior to Thursday, March 22nd. Spring cleanup 2012- guidelines are available at City Hall!
