Who We Are
Fredericktown is located in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains, surrounded on three sides by the Mark Twain National Forest. Our community was settled in 1819 by French settlers. We are the County Seat of Madison County and the home of the historic Madison County Courthouse, built in 1900 and designed by architect,Theodore Link. It’s that time of year to remind everyone of the City ordinances regarding high weeds and grass issues and garage sale rules and regulations. Section 210.090 of the Municipal Code addresses the responsibilities of the homeowner, renter or business owning property within Fredericktown City Limits for high weed and grass issues and Chapter 640 addresses garage sales. City of Fredericktown 2014 Burning Season Regulations
According to Section 255.180 of the Code of Ordinances, RESIDENTS of the City of Fredericktown may be permitted and allowed to burn yard and garden trimmings only (no branches larger than one inch in diameter) on residential lots. Read more...
Natural gas turbines being installed in industrial park!
Keep track of the progress we are making with the new gas turbines! The City of Fredericktown has ordered two 15-megawatt natural gas-driven turbines which are now being installed in our industrial park. These turbines are owned by the Missouri Joint Utility Commission. Check the web cam!
