Fredericktown is located on the outer boundary of the St. Francois Mountains, surrounded on three sides by the Mark Twain National Forest. Our community was settled in 1819 by French settlers. We are the County Seat of Madison County and the home of the historic Madison County Courthouse, built in 1898 and designed by architect,Theodore Link.

Advertisement for bids

Sealed proposals for the W. Main St. Watermain Relocation Project, located in Fredericktown, Missouri, consisting of watermain relocation including watermain piping and appurtenances, trenching, horizontal directional drilling, seeding/strawing, and other related construction will be received by the City Clerk at Fredericktown City Hall located at 124 W. Main St., Fredericktown, Missouri 63645, until 10:00 a.m. (local time) on the 30th day of October, 2018 and then at said place publicly opened and read aloud.

Copies of the Project Manual including Drawings, Specifications, and other Contract Documents may be examined and obtained at the office of Baer Engineering located at 313 N. Jackson St., Perryville, Missouri 63775. The charge for the Project Manual is a non-refundable payment of $60.00. The purchase of the Project Manual shall effectively establish each plan holder as a registered bidder for this project for receipt of all bidder correspondence and addenda.

The City of Fredericktown (“Owner”) reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities or to reject any or all bids and to accept the one that in the judgment of the Board of Aldermen is the lowest responsive, responsible bidder.

The Contractor will be paid in accordance with the provisions in the General Conditions.

Burning Season Regulations

According to Section 255.180 of the Code of Ordinances, RESIDENTS of the City of Fredericktown may be permitted and allowed to burn yard and garden trimmings only (no branches larger than one inch in diameter) on residential lots. Read the pdf for details.
